No matter your method, the truth is that you can never truly know the “other” without celebrating alongside them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen you consider how many non-Christians celebrate Christmas all over the globe, you get an idea of how important it is to engage others in your holidays, customs, traditions, and beliefs. Perhaps one day, it will be just as common for everyone to join their Muslim neighbors in celebrating Eid al-Fitr.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eEid in Milan: Bridging Cultures through Food and Family\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA Milan-based community known as Darda(she) recently brought the people of Municipality 9 together to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan. This gathering is not strictly religious, but rather a social one, offering those far from home a chance to celebrate together since they cannot attend the traditional, large family gatherings in their home countries.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis year’s event took place on March 22, 2026. Organized by local associations and the municipal government, the celebration aimed to foster social integration and strengthen neighborhood bonds through shared food, music, and activities for children. It was an inclusive event open to everyone, regardless of background. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLiLi Community \u0026amp; Darda(she): Bilingual Literacy for a New Generation\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis initiative is as much cultural as it is social. This year, LiLi Community was present to add a special cultural touch. We provided books and games in Arabic, as well as bilingual books in Italian and Arabic. Alongside Darda(she), our goal was to emphasize the importance of reading in one’s native language and to encourage children to explore the world through translated Arabic and bilingual literature.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCoexistence is not an abstract idea, but a daily practice of relationships and care\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp data-path-to-node=\"2\"\u003e“\u003cem\u003eThe second edition of Eid al-Fitr in Milan’s Maciachini district was a day filled with initiatives\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e- declared Rawan, activist from Darda(she) - \u003cem\u003emarked by a strong presence of families and children, moments of meeting and exchange, and an atmosphere of shared celebration that animated Via Bernardino de Conti from afternoon until evening, featuring music, creative workshops, and readings.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-path-to-node=\"3\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe Darda(she) collective curated the cultural programming with the goal of creating an inclusive, intergenerational space capable of valuing the diverse languages and cultures that inhabit the neighborhood. In this context, the participation of Lili Community was particularly significant. ARCI is one of the largest associative realities in the country, working to promote culture, rights, and widespread social engagement. Within this network, La Fratellanza has become a true cultural hub. It is a place where art, music, and cinema intertwine with civil debate, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ebringing\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e to light contemporary issues that often do not find space or \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eaccurate coverage\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e in mainstream media.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3 dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow Our Bond Was Born\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe believe that nothing happens by chance. For the occasion, we decided to restart right from where everything had begun. We set up our stall with a special selection of books dedicated to the Middle East, creating an ideal and profound link with \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ethe\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e film forum that had brought us together.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThrough the curated book list we exhibited, we offered visitors a true literary journey into those lands.
