2. Review a Book

We have been thinking a lot about how we talk about books. Sometimes "4 out of 5 stars" just does not capture the magic of a reading experience. To get more specific, we are launching a new custom review system! We named it "LiLi COM."

How the Scoring Works
For each category, you can rate the book from 1 (lowest or weakest) to 10 (highest or strongest).

The categories are:

  • L for "Language": Difficulty & Accessibility. (1 = Simple; 10 = Complex). This category will help readers to gauge if a book is an easy beach read or a dense literary challenge!
  • I for "Immersion": How well the world-building or atmosphere sucked you in.
  • L for "Likability": Your connection to the characters or the "vibe" of the narrator.
  • I for "Impact": Did it change your perspective? Will you remember it in a month?
  • C for "Concept": The originality of the plot or the core premise.
  • O for "Outcome": Was the ending impactful and well-paced?
  • M for "Messages": How deeply the story's themes or lessons resonated with you.

Why? Help fellow readers navigate their next read by sharing your structured feedback.

What? Use our simple 1–10 rating scale to evaluate the 7 categories of our custom rating system (LILI COM).
