An Afternoon of Culture at “La Fratellanza”

An Afternoon of Culture at “La Fratellanza”

A Summer of New Stories in Novara

In this hot summer, the literary bookstall of LiLi Community does not stop. We are indeed continuing to bring our books in original language and bilingual editions dedicated to the Middle East to the local territory, guided by the firm conviction that spreading valid cultural products is of fundamental importance, especially in times when it is difficult to find solid points of reference.

On Sunday, July 5, we returned to the ARCI Circolo “La Fratellanza” in Novara, participating for the first time in a lively craft market. The courtyard was filled with the colors, sounds, and art forms of artisans, comic book artists, micro-publishers, and designers who gave everyone present an afternoon of authentic conviviality and nourishment for the soul.

The Value of the Card: Being Part of the ARCI World

This blog article offers us the perfect opportunity to reflect briefly on the role of “La Fratellanza”, which has become a true cultural hub for the Novara area thanks to a rich daily program ranging from concerts to film clubs.

This vitality is guaranteed by the ARCI circuit to which the Circolo belongs. When we read the phrase “Event reserved for ARCI cardholders,” we must not think of an exclusive context or one restricted to a few. On the contrary, the card is an access key to a cultural square where sharing and collective growth are part of everyday life. Entering this circuit means sharing the dream of a more serene and just society, supporting spaces that develop culture, promote peace, offer solidarity to the most disadvantaged, and fight against every form of discrimination.

New Connections and a Big Thank You

Returning to the Market event, for us at LiLi Community this day was also a source of great satisfaction. Several curious readers passed in front of our stall, wishing to get to know our project closely. Furthermore, we had the opportunity to shake hands with new professionals, including illustrators, artists, and translators with whom we can open up to future collaborations. We only have to heartfully thank the Circolo “La Fratellanza” for organizing this splendid moment of encounter and for continuing to bear witness to the importance of shared culture in the local area.
