This charming collection serves as a foundational introduction to early learning concepts through Eric Carle’s signature bold and textured artwork. Usually presented as a boxed set of small board books, it covers essential building blocks such as colors, shapes, numbers, and animals. The tactile nature of these books is specifically designed for tiny hands, encouraging a love for reading from the very start of a child's development.

The "library" focus helps toddlers categorize the world around them while building their primary vocabulary in both Arabic and English (in bilingual editions). By using simple associations, such as a red apple or a green leaf, Carle turns basic recognition into an engaging visual game. It is an essential tool for sensory development and early language acquisition, making the learning process feel like an artistic discovery.

Target Age: 0+ years

Author: Eric Carle (إِيرِيك كَارْل)

Born in New York and educated in Germany, Eric Carle (1929–2021) was a legendary author and illustrator who revolutionized children’s literature with his vibrant, hand-painted tissue paper collages. After a successful career as a graphic designer for The New York Times and various advertising agencies, he transitioned into books when he collaborated on Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? in 1967. This pivot led to the creation of over 70 books, including his masterpiece, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which became a global phenomenon celebrated for its playful design and educational themes.

Carle’s work was defined by a deep respect for children’s innate curiosity and a desire to make the transition from home to school less intimidating. In 2002, he and his wife, Barbara, co-founded The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art to celebrate the visual storytelling he championed throughout his life. Today, his legacy lives on through his "toy" book innovations and the millions of copies of his stories that continue to introduce young readers to the beauty of nature and the joy of learning.
